UDK: 82.091

Pages: 24 - 27

The article considers the novel of the Kumyk prose writer Mikail Abukov “Heavy Arba of Love” in the context of the evolution of the writer's work, as well as national prose of the end of the last century. Guided by the goal of identifying the innovation and originality of this work, we note that it is the first novel in the Kumyk literature, which is completely dominated by the problems of private life, the family, as if in contrast to social. The charac-teristic features of the poetics of the novel by M. Abukov are the use of the image of the narrator, the bringing to the center of the narrative of the hero, thinking about the transitions of the life lived, the primacy of thoughts be-fore the action, excursions into the past.
