The article formulates general provisions resulting from the study of the numerical behavior of nouns in the South-Lezghin (Budukh and Kryz) and West-Lezghin (Rutul and Tsakhur) languages of the Nakh-Dagestan language family in order to identify similar and distinctive features and establish the approaches of researchers and lexicographers to reflect the semantics of plurality in scientific works and dictionaries.
