FOLKLOR INTERESTS OF THE LEZGHIN ENLIGHTENER KAZANFARBEK ZUL’FUKAROV

The article discusses the role of the representative of the Dagestan intelligentsia of the second half of the XIX century – Kazanfarbek Zulfukarov as an enlightener, who left a bright mark in the education and upbringing of the Lezghin people. Based on the factual material, the author points out that K. Zulfukarov was also the first collector of Lezghin folk art, who understood the importance of native folklore in upbringing and enlightenment.
