ON THE ACHIEVEMENTS AND PROSPECTS OF PUBLISHING THE MULTI-VOLUME SERIES "COLLECTION OF FOLKLORE MONUMENTS OF THE PEOPLES OF DAGESTAN"

The article deals with the publication of a multi-volume series "Collection of folklore monuments of the peoples of Dagestan" in 20 volumes, the work on which continues in the Department of Folklore of the Institute of Language, Literature and Art of Dagestan Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It highlights the main provisions, principles, methodology, achievements and prospects of the publication of this project, its scientific and practical significance in contemporary study of folklore and national culture.
