The article studies the lyrical works of the Dagestan poet Abdulla Daganov. An attempt is made to present lyrics as an evolutionary process of the poet's artistic thought in the context of the Avar artistic traditions. The creativity of A. Daganov is an unexplored part of the Avar literature, it deserves the attention of writers and literary critics. The study of A. Daganov's lyrics, the main component of his work, is an important contribution to the study of the Avar poetry.
