The article analyses the landscape genre in the painting of the famous Dagestan artist A. Avgustovich. The characteristic features of the author's handwriting in the context of foreign cultural influences and innovative approaches to the disclosure of the image are considered. The specific stylistic and ideological-content aspects of the artist's landscape works are revealed.
