FEMALE IMAGES IN LAK FOLK BALLADS
Pages: 61 - 67
The article deals with the special analysis of female images in the ballads of Lak folklore: social, family, and love. They fully reveal the woman as a mother, wife, sister, beloved. Especially revealing are the ballads that depict the image of a female warrior. Among them there are heroines who are ready to take revenge on the enemy for the death of their brother. Many female images of Lak ballads express a protest against patriarchal oppression in the family. The subjects of these ballads are dramatic, tragic (“Burkha-Izazha”, “Dark-eyed Ashura”, “Udaman Alil”, etc.).
